Lakes Sky Ultra

55km+ with 4500m+ ascent. If you’re looking for a serious challenge, this is it. Inspired by the great ultra distance sky races of Europe, Lakes Sky Ultra™ is one of the most technically demanding course-marked races the Lake District has ever seen. Entries are open to all skyrunners that will tackle this ultra-distance route, taking in Striding and Swirral Edge amongst other extremely technical terrain, demanding that the competitors have superb mountain skills.
It might not be the longest ultramarathon in England, but it is certainly the most technically challenging: Lakes Sky Ultra is a test of speed, endurance, nerves and all-round mountaincraft. It’s not for the faint-hearted: this is a course designed to stretch your limits and hold your attention from start to finish.
Runners can select Trees not Tees during registration in place of receiving their t-shirt.
